Catching the national mood
Like most communities, Blackham comes together at times of national celebration and organises
events to tie in with what is happening nationally.
Here are a few examples. We’d love to have more photographs and stories if you have them.
This photo was taken at Highfields on 26 June1902 and was a
village picnic organised to mark the coronation of King

Here is a picture from George V’s Silver Jubilee in 1935 with Mr
