Thanks to Pam Campbell Webster, known to many of you as Pam Moth, for these photos from the bitterly cold winter of 1962-3.One of the harshest winters on record, it lasted from Boxing Day to March and the Daily Mirror reported: “That year the UK had one of its worst winters in living memory with temperatures plumetting so low even the SEA froze.”The pictures show Watch Oak Hill and Mr Moth clearing the snow from their garden at 10 Teasley Mead.If you have any pictures or memories of that big freeze, pleasee let us have them.
