Hubert Harding– Edith Stone The wedding took place at All Saints’ Church on Wednesday week of Miss Edith Maud Stone (W.L.A.), daughter of Mr and Mrs A H Stone of Mayor House, Blackham, and Cpl Hubert William Harding, R.A.F., son of Mr and Mrs E Harding, Rose Cottage, Blackham. The choral service was conducted by the Rev A Miles, with Miss Marshall at the organ. The bride, given away by her father, wore a white lace dress and carried red roses. She was attended by Miss E Harding, Miss J Stone and Miss P Prough, who were attired in blue and pink lace and carried pink roses. The best man was Mr A Wickham. Kent & Sussex Courier 20 July 1945
